Support Music in Haiti

The School of Music Louis Achille Othello Bayard Cayes was created in
January 2004 and was established as an afterschool program to get kids off the
streets and away from violence, juvenile delinquency, drugs and prostitution.  In the first year 103 young men and women
aged 10-17 years were registered and attended the school and was run out of the
Saint Jean Cayes high school.  Due to the
success of the program, more students have expressed interest in attending
however the lack of instruments has limited the number of student. Therefore,
the school is looking for funding to purchase new musical instruments to
replace those that are no longer usable or to accept used equipment from
donors. With your support, the school will be able to offer more classes to youth
throughout Les Cayes through your financial donation or your donation of
musical instruments.
